Jay Parmley - Executive Director

 A native of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, Jay brings over a decade of experience in state Democratic party leadership.  From 2001- 2005, Parmley was the Chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic Party.  At the time of his election, he was the nation’s youngest chairman of a State Democratic Party.  During his chairmanship, he also served Oklahoma Democrats in the dual role as Executive Director. Jay has also served as the Executive Director of the North Carolina and South Carolina Democratic Parties. From 2005-2008, Parmley worked for the Democratic National Committee (DNC), first in Mississippi before moving to South Carolina as part of DNC Chair Howard Dean's 50 state strategy.  From 1999-2001, he served as President of the Young Democrats of America. Parmley also served as an At-Large member of the DNC and a member of the DNC Budget and Finance Committee from 2005-2009.  In 2016, Jay directed the Alaska Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign working with legislative candidates and campaign staff and is pleased the Alaska House of Representatives is now Democratic-led for the first time in over 20 years.


Alice Kim -  Communications Director

Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Alice returns to the home state in 12 years after adventures in Boston, New York, D.C., and a pit stop in Seattle. With a variety of interests, Alice brings experience in public affairs and communications across politics and government; she has worked for three city governments and the federal government, Most recently, Alice served as a spokesperson for the Seattle Fire Department and DC Metropolitan Police Department where she managed the agency’s social media, media relations, and public information. Prior to her experiences in public safety agencies, Alice began her career in politics in D.C. in U.S. Senator Mark Begich’s office and at the Democratic National Committee. Alice completed her Master of Arts in Politics degree at New York University and her Bachelor of Arts degree at Northeastern University, dual majoring in International Affairs and Spanish. 


Matt Greene - Data Director

Matt Greene joined the Alaska Democratic Party in 2014 and has extensive experience in field and data work. In 2008 and 2010 he was a regional field director for Idaho Democratic Congressman, Walt Minnick. In 2012 he served as political director for the Idaho Democratic Party. In 2013 he ran large field operations in Colorado. Prior to moving to Alaska Matt was the campaign manager for Idaho Representative John McCrostie.

Leighan Gonzales- Field Organizer

Born and raised in East Anchorage, Leighan is a graduate of East Anchorage High School and is studying Political Science at the University of Alaska Anchorage. During an internship in the office of Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz in 2016, she became passionate about the plight of the homeless in Anchorage.  Leighan served as a transition coordinator with the Homeless Coalition and organized and led groups through homeless camp counts in the Municipality.  In 2016, Leighan served as a field organizer for the Alaska Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign, helped manage a winning red-to-blue race in South Anchorage in 2017, and is an active member of the Alaska Young Democrats.




Jeffrey Eide- Field Organizer

A native of Minnesota, Jeffrey has spent a decade traveling and working around the world as an educator and in human rights development. After returning to the United States, he lived in North Dakota, and kept busy as a community organizer along with getting involved with campaigns. During the 2016 campaign season after serving as a national delegate from North Dakota, Jeffrey moved up to Alaska to manage a house campaign and subsequently worked for the Alaska House Majority Coalition as a Legislative Aide in Juneau. Currently living in Anchorage, he spends all of his free time building communities and organizing events.




Jacob Sears- Field Organizer

Born in Mississippi and raised in a military family, Jacob has lived all over Alaska for the last 15 years.  Since 2012, he has made his home in Fairbanks and is working towards a bachelor's degree in Political Science at  the University of Alaska Fairbanks. With a stint in DC for an internship and thesis work, Jacob worked on the Alaska Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign in 2016.
